Born in the mountains of Himachal and driven by an endless love for travel, I started Nomadic India with one simple vision — to show people the real, soulful India beyond brochures and busy tourist routes. What began as a passion for exploring hidden valleys, local cultures, and raw landscapes has now grown into a travel company that curates meaningful, immersive experiences across the country and beyond.

I believe travel should feel personal, not packaged. That’s why every Nomadic India journey is designed with detail, emotion, and authenticity — from Himalayan retreats and offbeat adventures to luxury escapes and custom-crafted itineraries.

Over the years, I’ve built Nomadic India as a brand that stands for trust, comfort, and unforgettable moments. My mission is to inspire people to travel deeper, explore freely, and create stories that stay for life.

f you love real experiences, unique stays, and travel that feels different — welcome to Nomadic India. Let’s explore the world, one beautiful journey at a time.

I started Nomadic India not to sell trips — but to build journeys that awaken something inside you. For the explorers, the seekers, the offbeat souls — this is your tribe.

Let’s travel India the way it was meant to be — nomadically.

Co-Founder

Amatya Chauhan, a hospitality professional, explorer, and storyteller dedicated to creating meaningful travel experiences. His journey began with a strong academic foundation—a BHMCT degree from Chitkara University—followed by enriching years working with global hotel brands like Hyatt and Radisson. These experiences instilled in him an understanding of fine hospitality, guest satisfaction, and the art of crafting seamless experiences.

In 2019, Amatya stepped into a new chapter by taking over his family’s beloved mountain resort, Agyaat Vaas. Immersed in the world of adventure travel, wildlife tourism, and experiential learning, he worked closely with a wide range of guests—schools such as The Lawrence School Sanawar, YPS, and British Co-Ed; corporates like Birla Sun Life; and communities including birding groups, wildlife photographers, astronomy groups, FIT travelers, and multiple expedition teams.

These interactions shaped his understanding of what travelers truly seek today: authenticity, connection, and experiences that go beyond sightseeing.

Driven by this vision and his personal love for exploration, Amatya Chauhan founded Nomadic India—a platform dedicated to slow travel, offbeat exploration, and experiences rooted in nature and culture. Every itinerary carries his personal touch: thoughtful, immersive, and designed to tell a story.

Amatya believes that travel should not just take you to new places—it should open new perspectives.

With Nomadic India, he invites you to discover India the way he has spent his life exploring it: curiously, respectfully, and with a nomad’s spirit
